RIVALS — Fans and former Rams players and staffers were in the stands when the Rams beat the 49ers in the NFC title playoff game in San Francisco on Feb. 24, and they’re hoping they were in good shape for the rematch this weekend.
It all started with a few hundred fans showing up to the Coliseum on Saturday, Feb. 27, to watch the Rams lose their second straight Super Bowl, and then the stadium was full of empty seats for two straight days, as well as fans who had been in the building for a few hours before the game.
The Rams won the game 28-17, but fans at the Coliseum who had purchased tickets had to go back into the building to find out they couldn’t get into the game, even though the stadium is a two-hour drive from their home.
Rams head coach Sean McVay was a guest on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Tuesday, Feb 7 and spoke to his players about what happened the night before.
“We had a couple of things going for us,” McVakie said.
“It was a tough loss, but we had a lot of positives and a lot to show for it.
They’re all winners. “
I think we had the best offensive line we’ve had in a long time, and I’m proud of the players who made plays.
“But you know what? “
I think the fans were great, and that’s what I was proud of. “
But you know what?
I think the fans were great, and that’s what I was proud of.
I know the fans loved it, and all the people who came out to the game and cheered us on.
They were amazing.
I’ve been around the league for 20 years, and this is one of the best memories of my life, and what I’ve seen and experienced. “
So I’m so proud of them.
So, I think we’ll be in the right place at the right time, to get the job done.””
And I know that we have a lot on our plate right now, and the things we’re trying to get done.
So, I think we’ll be in the right place at the right time, to get the job done.”
It’s the kind of response McVie expects from the team after losing its last two Super Bowls.
“When I go to a loss, I’m like, ‘I’m going to come up with some great answers,’ and I’ve always said that,” Mcvay said.
But now, it’s the players’ job to put it into words, and to put the blame on the organization.
“They need to understand that it’s a different group of guys who played, and these guys are really not going to let us down this year.
But we’re not going away, and hopefully we can be on the field on Saturday.””
Hopefully, they understand that.
But we’re not going away, and hopefully we can be on the field on Saturday.”
McVay said he thinks the Rams can handle a loss like this and have a good team.
“Our offense is the best we’ve ever had,” he said.
We’re just going to have to go through it. “
In this league, I’ve never had a losing season, but this is the first year that we’ve been a losing team.
So we’re just trying to put ourselves in position to be a winning football team.””
If you’re not a losing football team, you’re going nowhere.
So we’re just trying to put ourselves in position to be a winning football team.”
But the real key is getting this group of players to play as a unit and to have the confidence in each other that they’ve got to make plays, and those plays need to be good plays.
If they’re not, then they’re going down.
“(He’s) trying to be the coach that everybody wants to be. “
Sean [McVakies] is really doing a great job,” McNair said.
“(He’s) trying to be the coach that everybody wants to be.
He wants to get these guys to come to work every day, and get to know each other, and be better.
We can’t be afraid of anything.”
McRaven said he’s glad he can play in this environment again.
“This is the most important thing that I’ve done in my life,” he added.
“To be in this situation, it makes me feel so good.
I feel like I’m in a whole
